Maternal Child Health & New Lives

New Lives/MCH programs provide home visits to support positive Lifestyles and improved pregnancy outcomes through the coordination of holistic health services.

Native American families, prenatal through age 8, living on or near Bois Forte reservation are program eligible. New Lives offers information in several topic areas such as:

  • Breastfeeding
  • Labor
  • Safe sleep
  • Parenting
  • Infant growth and development
  • Home safety
  • Health and nutrition
  • Car seat safety
  • Potty training, and more!

Active participants are eligible for program incentives, pack-n-plays, car seats, breast pumps, home safety supplies, strollers, and much more. Families are welcome to join our New Lives luncheon held the 4th Wednesday in Nett Lake, and 4th Thursday in Vermilion of each month.
