I Representative vacancy &#8211; appointment by RTC or holding a special election.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">According to MCT Election Ordinance Section 1.2(B) (2):<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">&#8220;If a vacancy due to death, removal, or resignation occurs on the Band governing body less than 365 days, but more than 180 days, before the next scheduled Primary Election, the Band governing body may call a Special Election, or appoint a person who is qualified to serve&#8230;to fill vacancy and serve until the next Regular Election is held and the successful candidate is seated.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">APPOINT<\/p>\n<ul class=\"ul1\">\n<li class=\"li1\">RTC appoints qualified individual to fill vacancy.<\/li>\n<li class=\"li1\">Appointed member must meet eligibility requirements outlined in<br \/>\nMCT Election Ordinance.<\/li>\n<li class=\"li1\">Individual appointed fills vacancy through 2026 Regular Election.
