Forte Public Health COVID-19 Case Announcement 11\/23\/21"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1>Bois Forte Public Health COVID-19 Case Announcement 11\/23\/21<\/h1>\n<p>Boozhoo All,<\/p>\n<p>On November 22 there were 2 additional cases of COVID in the Bois Forte Community.\u00a0 We currently have 7 active cases on Reservation.\u00a0 More details are in the attachment.<\/p>\n<p>St Louis County had <em><strong>over 2,000 cases in the past 2 weeks<\/strong><\/em>, this is their largest number in 2021.\u00a0 Cases are everywhere and there is no slow down in sight.<\/p>\n<p>If you have new symptoms such as: \u00a0runny nose, sore throat, fever, cough, diarrhea, nausea\/vomiting, loss of smell or taste, headache or fatigue.\u00a0 Please get tested.\u00a0 Do NOT come into work, go visiting or out to eat.<\/p>\n<p>If you are exposed, whether you are vaccinated or not, please call and schedule a test between 5-7 days after last exposure.\u00a0 If you have symptoms, please call and get tested the following day.<\/p>\n<p>Specifics for what to do if exposed:<\/p>\n<p>Fully Vaccinated, exposure is at least 2 weeks after 2<sup>nd<\/sup> dose of Moderna\/Phizer or 1<sup>st<\/sup> dose of Johnson&amp; Johnson, <em><strong>NOT a household member OR Household member:<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>You do NOT need to quarantine, but you should be very cautious.\u00a0 Please don\u2019t visit high risk people.\u00a0 Wear a mask and monitor for symptoms for 2 weeks after the last day of contact with the positive case.<\/li>\n<li>Please schedule a test between 5-7 days after the last day of contact. \u00a0\u00a0If you have symptoms, please stay home, schedule a test the next day after symptoms started and separate yourself from others.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Partially vaccinated or non-vaccinated and the <em><strong>contact is NOT a household member<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>You DO need to quarantine!\u00a0 You can not have contact with anyone outside of your household, enter any public building or have anyone new into your house.\u00a0 You should also try to separate from others that live in your household.<\/li>\n<li>Please schedule to get tested 5-7 days after the last day of contact.\u00a0 If you are negative you can leave the house on the 8<sup>th<\/sup> day (You need to quarantine for the full 7 days) after the last day of contact with the positive case.\u00a0 If you are positive you will need to follow isolation guidelines given to you.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Partially vaccinated or non-vaccinated and the <em><strong>contact IS a HOUSEHOLD member<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>You DO need to quarantine!\u00a0 You can not have contact with anyone outside of your household, enter any public building or have anyone new into your house.\u00a0 You should also try to separate from others that live in your household.<\/li>\n<li>Please schedule to get tested 5-7 days after the last day of contact.\u00a0 If you are negative you can leave the house on the 15<sup>th<\/sup> day (You need to quarantine for the full 14 days) after the last day of contact with the positive case.\u00a0 Which is a very long time if you don\u2019t separate from the positive case.\u00a0 Your 14 days starts the LAST day your household member is contagious, which is 10 days after the first day they have symptoms.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>I\u2019m urging everyone to please be cautious, especially with the long holiday weekend.\u00a0 Please limit the number of people you are exposed to that don\u2019t live in your household. \u00a0Wear a mask if possible.\u00a0 PLEASE get your booster if it\u2019s been more than 6 months since your last vaccine.\u00a0 Please get vaccinated if you have not yet.\u00a0 The life you save could be your own, a high
