A director must have at least a working familiarity with basic finance and accounting practices, including the ability to read and understand the credit union’s balance sheet and income statement and the ability to ask, as appropriate, substantive questions of management and auditors.<\/p>\n
The board has the overall responsibility for the credit union’s direction, safety and soundness and legal compliance. To meet these responsibilities, the board must establish sound policies, retain qualified management, and establish acceptable risk exposure levels.<\/p>\n
This position requires attending monthly meetings and participation in EVFCU events.\u00a0 This is a volunteer position that will make a difference in your community and our credit union family.<\/p>\n
