Wildfire Precautions
The TERC (Tribal Emergency Response Committee) and Tribal Council have met to discuss the wildfires affecting our neighboring communities. As of now, we are not in danger and are not in any of the “Ready, Set, Go” stages. However, in the likelihood the fires reach our reservation boundaries; we do have plans in place to evacuate, shelter and care for our residents. Right now, it is encouraged to get a “go bag” ready and stay alert to the “Ready, Set, Go” phrases. Please stay informed through local news/radio (including KBFT 89.9) and the Bois Forte Social Media outlets.
