Statement RE: Additional Code of Ethics Complaints Filed
STATEMENT RE: ADD’L CODE OF ETHICS COMPLAINTS FILED
On May 9, 2025, the Bois Forte Reservation Tribal Council issued a statement that an ethics complaint had been filed against a sitting RTC member under the Bois Forte Reservation Tribal Council Code of Ethics.
The RTC is now aware of three additional ethics complaints that were filed against a sitting RTC member on May 20, May 28, and May 29, respectively.
The Bois Forte Tribal Ethics Committee is responsible for reviewing and making determinations on the complaints. If the complaints reach the hearing state, the Committee will determine if teh allegations are proven or dismissed, and will send its determinations to the RTC for final disposition. At this time, the RTC is allowing the Committee process to run its course based on teh steps outlined in the Code of Ethics. The RTC will provide updates on this process as appropriate.
