Special Election Notice
The Bois Forte Reservation Tribal Council hereby announces that a Special Election will be held on December 29, 2025, on the Bois Forte Reservation to fill the vacancy in the Reservation Tribal Council District I (Nett Lake) position.
This Special Election provides for a Primary Election to be held on October 28, 2025, in the event that there are more than two (2) eligible candidates for the open position.
Elected positions to be filled are as follows:
- COMMITTEE PERSON DISTRICT I – BOIS FORTE (NETT LAKE) RESERVATION TRIBAL COUNCIL – TERM ENDING 2028
Candidates shall file with the Secretary/Treasurer or her designee during regular business hours beginning on August 25, 2025. Filing will close on September 4, 2025, at 4:30 P.M.
Attached is the 2025 Special Election #2 calendar and a copy of the MCT Election Ordinance, which includes guidelines for candidate eligibility and certification.
