Bois Forte Public Health COVID-19 Case Announcement 1/6/22

This is a combined announcement from December 27 – January 5. We’re definitely seeing an uptick in cases since the holidays. We’ve had 5 cases during this time.
I know most of you have seen the CDC changes come out, Minnesota Dept of Health (MDH) has not adopted these changes yet. MDH expects to have their guidance out next week. We will be discussing these changes in the Health Dept and TERC meeting to see if Bois Forte will be adopting the new guidelines. The new guidelines will rely heavily on mask wearing if quarantine and/or isolation times are shortened.
With the new guidelines for COVID exposures, it will be VERY important for everyone to get a booster COVID vaccine if it’s been longer than 6 months since their last COVID vaccine. If it’s been longer than 6 months since your last dose, please call the clinic to schedule a booster if you don’t want to be quarantined after an exposure once the new guidelines go into effect.
