Bois Forte Public Health COVID-19 Increasing Cases in North Eastern Minnesota

Bois Forte has become aware of an increased number of cases in North Eastern Minnesota. There are currently several new cases located in towns close to the Reservation. These cases had initially been spread by young adults and teens; however, cases have now spread to people ages 30 to 40 and up. These cases have been spreading quite quickly and MDH is working with Local Public Health to determine whether any of these cases are one of the new variants that have been seen in other areas of the state.

Bois Forte would like to remind the Community that now is not the time to let our guard down, this is not over.  We need to continue to wear our masks and social distance, especially when out in public or while having contact with people that have not been fully vaccinated.

We would like to encourage everyone that is 18 years or older to call the Clinic (Nett Lake 218-757-3650 or Vermilion 218-753-2182) to schedule their vaccination.
