Voting should be easy and accessible for all, but not all voters experience it that way. Significant barriers make voting difficult or impossible for many eligible voters:
* People of color *Students
*New immigrants *People with Disabilities
*The elderly *Voters who don’t speak English well
*Low income people who move often.
There are countless stories of these and other voters having a hard time voting or being specifically targeted in suppression efforts.
Take Action Minnesota is recruiting and training Election Judges to be strong voting rights advocates. Election Judges can:
Take Action Minnesota will provide training and materials to help election judges know the law and how to respond to situations that threaten people’s right to vote.
Let’s make sure that ALL eligible voters can exercise their right to vote in 2008!!
